I was very excited when Rachel and Fausto asked me to photograph their family again, but this time with Fausto’s parents, siblings and their families included in the shoot. Extended family portraits are just so special.

I love photographing the large groups and letting the dynamics and relationships unfold. Capturing expressions and ‘real’ moments as well as the setup ones you need to do to make sure everyone is in the group photo. We used Rachel and Fausto’s garden as the backdrop which was perfect because people could escape the elements to warm themselves up inside before braving the cold winds and spitting rain we had on and off all afternoon.
